NFBA Accreditation Program

The Accredited Post-Frame Builder (APFB) program is a national accreditation program designed to publicly recognize and honor post-frame builders that have demonstrated a commitment to professionalism and quality in key areas of corporate responsibility: ethical business practices, safety and education.

Accredited post-frame builders demonstrate they have policies and programs in place that will ensure quality and guarantee customer satisfaction. Post-Frame builders that meet the criteria set forth within the program are entitled to full privileges that come with the designation including; Accredited Post-Frame Builder logo for all marketing materials, highlighted in the membership directory and NFBA website, acknowledged in Frame Building News, authorized language to use in all bid documents, an office plaque, and press release to circulate locally.

Follow the steps below and get accredited today:

1. Notarized application acknowledging you follow good business practices and adhere to NFBA’s code of ethics.
2. Three letters of recommendation
3. Proof of earning 12 accreditation units
4. Application fee

NFBA Accreditation Units (NAUs) can be earned at the annual Expo and chapter sponsored events.

Follow the steps below to view accreditation units on record:

1. Log in to the members only section of the website
2. Click "Activities"
3. Click on "Continuing Education Report"
4. This generates a report with your NAUs on record
(All employee NAUs can be applied towards a company Accreditation status. To qualify for Accreditation, NAUs must have been earned in the past 24 months.)
